1: Your absence of any sustained and careful attention to your spiritual life is dangerous. Disturbing even.

2: That’s because I don’t have a spiritual life.

1: You think. But you do. You just call it something else.

2: I don’t.

1: You do. You call it reason. You call it memory. You call it thought. But something in the way you’ve come to understand your own inner voice, won’t let you call it spirit.

2: That’s idiodic. It makes no sense.

1: It makes perfect sense.

2: Smacking you in the face is what makes perfect sense.

1: To your spirit.
